Wholeness Ministry Caregivers
Members from the congregation with gifts of compassion and encouragement serve along side the pastoral staff in maintaining contact with individuals in the congregation. Each Caregiver keeps in touch with an assigned group of members seeking to provide spiritual, emotional and, when a need arises, physical care. The Caregiver also helps members connect to other appropriate groups or organizations who can assist them. Caregivers practice the principles of P.E.A.C.E -- Prayer, Encouragement, Availability, Contact, Example. Contact Pastor Dawn Vagle for information on how you can get involved.
Helping Hands
Members who are facing a temporary catastrophic need can benefit from Helping Hands who might provide meals, home or car repairs, transportation, child care or homemaking. These needs might be due to a severe injury or major medical diagnosis. All contacts and requests are kept confidential, involving only those who need to know to be able to supply the support.

Christian Aid
This is an established fund to help those who are experiencing short term financial need. Those served by this fund may need help with bills, food or transportation due to sudden job loss or illness. Those who find themselves with long term financial need should contact Pastor Marv or Pastor Carolyn to begin a financial assessment and to seek financial counseling. Counseling Assistance Program
Beechwood is connected to many professional Christian counselors in the area. If you are dealing with marriage issues, depression, anxiety or other relational or mental health issues, we can provide support and referrals to the right counselor for you. We also provide financial assistance for those who cannot cover the cost of their counseling.
Pastor Dawn Vagle and Pastor Marv Beukelman handle these referrals and distribute financial aid.
Pre-marital Counseling
This four-session program is required for those who would like to be married by any of the ordained pastors on the Beechwood staff - Jim Lankheet, Marv Beukelman and Dawn Vagle. Some of the topics covered are:
- Online assessment of your relationship ($35 fee)
- Communication and conflict resolution
- Finances
- Goals and dreams
- Family life and leisure time
- Spiritual life
