Directions to Beechwood

Research shows that the most powerful influences on faith development are the conversations that take place in the home. Faith grows best when the family and church partner together. Our purpose is to change the world by reaching tomorrow's generation today!

We will do this by:

Teaching children to love and obey God's word.
Loving children with our words and deeds so that they can know the love God has for them.
Coaching children in the basic Christian disciplines, equipping them to live a Christ-filled life.

Our goal is to see children's lives transformed by the power of God through the Holy Spirit using the scriptures and relationships to produce children who are growing, reproducing disciples.

bo and kids Sunday Faith Builders - during both the 9:45 and 11:15 worship services, children, ages 3 through 5th grade, meet in age-group classes to experience God in worship, grow closer through friendships and service to others and grow in their faith. Faith Builders will challenge parents and kids to spend time during the week talking about the lesson from Sunday.

Noah's Nursery - Located at the north-west end of the Atrium, care is available during both 9:45 and 11:15 Sunday morning worship services. Parents and other adult volunteers staff three seperate areas for infants, walkers and 2-year-olds. The walkers and two's will share snacks and stories with plenty of time to play.

Summer activities planned

VBS is coming June 23 - 27, 2008! Join us as we plug into science and explore the "Power Lab" to learn about Jesus' power in our lives. From 9:00 to noon each day children (from pre-school age through entering 5th grade in the fall) will enjoy worship times, snacks, games and lessons. Click on the logo at left to go to the PowerLab page for Beechwood. In the left column on that page are links for Participant Registration (kids) and volunteer Registration (adults). Join us "in the Lab"!

Future Champs Sports Camp - A beginning learning opportunity for chihldren ages 4-8 years. Each of the last 3 weeks in July a different sport will be featured: Soccer, Baseball and Basketball. From 9:30 am to 10:45am loving and dedicated parents and coaches will teach the basics of the sport and team building. Click on the logo to find out more and to register your child.

Join us in the fall for the following school-year activities:

Wednesday Evenings - 6:30 - 7:40pm from September through March - Cadets and Gems programs are offered for children in 1st through 5th grades. We also offer classes for children 4-years-old through Kindergarten. Our vision is to nurture the servant hearts of children through Bible stories, drama, testimonies and age-appropriate mission and service activities.

Children's Choirs are an important part of Wednesday nights as well. His Kids Choir - ages 4-1st grade - and SPARK Choir - 2nd-6th grades - rehearse each week from 5:30 - 6:15pm to prepare songs to share during the 9:45 worship service as well as a Christmas Program or musical. In Children's Choirs, our emphasis is on using music as a way to worship God using the talents we've been given. Use these on-line forms to register to sing or volunteer with Children's Choirs.
